Privacy Policy

Your data should be as clear as your measurements

This policy explains what GMeasure AR accesses, uses, transfers, and retains when you measure with AR, GPS, or maps, view ads, or subscribe to Premium.

Effective

Measurements stay on device

Projects, geometry, images, and additional-data forms are primarily stored in the app's local database.

Permissions are feature-based

Camera and location are used for the measurement feature you choose. The app does not request background location.

Third-party services apply

Google Maps, ARCore, Firebase, AdMob, and app stores process data needed for their services.

1. Scope

This policy applies to GMeasure AR on Android and iOS, developed by TopToshirou. It covers both information stored locally by the app and information processed by service providers when you use related features.

The app currently has no user-account system and no developer-operated measurement sync service. We will update this policy before or when those practices materially change.

2. Data you create in the app

You may create or save:

  • Distance, height, angle, area, volume, geometry, and coordinate measurements.
  • Project and folder names, item names, colors, units, and display settings.
  • Custom additional-data forms, fields, choices, and responses.
  • Photos, map captures, screenshots, and imported or exported files.

This content is primarily kept in the app’s storage on your device. The developer does not automatically receive a copy. Export important work before deleting the app, clearing app data, or changing devices.

3. Camera, AR, and sensors

AR measurement requires the camera and motion, orientation, and depth information made available by the operating system or ARCore/ARKit. These signals detect surfaces, place points, and calculate geometry. Camera imagery is used to render and process the AR experience.

Standard AR measurement is processed on device. If you explicitly choose Cloud Anchors or Geospatial features, camera, sensor, and location data may be sent to Google to host or resolve a cloud anchor. The app provides a disclosure and requests consent first; local-only AR remains available.

4. Location and maps

Approximate or precise foreground location is requested for GPS measurement, current-location controls, map measurement, and AR Geospatial. It is used to place points, calculate distance or area, show your location, and save coordinates with a measurement.

GMeasure AR does not request background location. Saved coordinates remain in local app data. Google Maps and Google Play Services for AR may receive location and technical data needed to provide mapping, positioning, and abuse-prevention services.

5. Analytics, crashes, ads, and update checks

Firebase Analytics

Release builds use Firebase Analytics for app opens, screen views, limited feature events, device and OS information, an app-instance identifier, coarse location derived from IP, and store purchase events. We do not assign your name, email, or an app account ID to Analytics.

Firebase Crashlytics

A crash report may include stack traces, relevant app state, device and OS metadata, a Crashlytics installation UUID, and event breadcrumbs leading up to a failure. We use this information to diagnose stability problems.

AdMob and consent

Free users may see Banner, Interstitial, and Native ads from Google AdMob. The Mobile Ads SDK may process IP address and coarse location, app and ad interactions, diagnostics, and device or advertising identifiers for advertising, measurement, and fraud prevention. Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) manages consent where required. Premium removes ads, while Analytics and Crashlytics may continue.

Version checks

The app reads current-version and update-rule values from Firebase Realtime Database. This check does not upload your projects or measurements.

6. Subscriptions and purchases

Google Play or the Apple App Store processes payment for monthly or annual subscriptions. The app receives the product status, receipt or purchase token, and entitlement information needed to verify, unlock, and restore Premium. The developer does not receive your card or bank-account number.

7. Exports and sharing

Depending on the measurement, you can export PDF, CSV, KML/KMZ, DXF, SVG, GLB, OBJ, STL, or images. Only the file you choose is passed to the destination or app you select. That destination’s privacy terms apply after the transfer.

9. Retention and deletion

  • Local measurements remain until you delete them, clear app data, or uninstall the app.
  • Exported files live outside the app and must be deleted from their destination separately.
  • Store purchase records and entitlements follow the applicable store’s retention rules.
  • Analytics, Crashlytics, and AdMob data follow Google’s configured retention periods and policies.

You may email us to request review or deletion of data the developer can access through these services. Anonymous or aggregated data may not be linkable back to an individual.

10. Your choices and rights

  • Grant or revoke camera, photo, and location access in Android or iOS settings.
  • Continue using app features that do not require a permission you decline, where available.
  • Use the in-app Privacy Options entry to review advertising consent when available in your region.
  • Manage ad personalization and advertising identifiers through your Google account or device settings.
  • Delete measurements in the app, or clear app data/uninstall to remove all local app data.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may request access, correction, deletion, objection, or restriction by contacting us.

11. Security and international processing

We limit access by feature, use operating-system app storage, and rely on TLS/HTTPS transport protections provided by integrated services. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Providers may process data in countries with different data-protection laws.

12. Children

GMeasure AR is a general measurement tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information so we can investigate.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as features, SDKs, or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes may also be announced in the app or store listing.
